He was Professor of Nutrition for 7 years in South Korea. During a visit to Olinda (the hometown of his wife, Denise Arcoverde) in 2012, he found some sea glass and this initiated his interest in beachcombing. He did this intensively over the following years in several countries, but mainly in Olinda after retiring there in 2015. His curiosity about the provenance of the things one can find on Olinda’s beaches helped inspire the present project.
Ted has one son living in Sweden, one in the USA, and four grandchildren.
